Dear Plei Community,
Welcome to Plei 2.0! As I sit down to write this, I can’t help but reflect on how far we’ve come. What started as a simple idea — to make finding and joining soccer games as easy as ordering an Uber — has grown into a community of over 500,000 players across 26 regions.
There were many who called me crazy when I started Plei back in 2017, and for a few years it looked like they were right. It took a couple of years for Plei to really start taking off, and once it did, we got hit with Covid-19 and had to close down for 9 months in 2020. Throughout all the adversity, we worked day in and day out for something larger than ourselves. We were not going to stop until we allowed anyone and everyone to play this beautiful game we all love anywhere, anytime.
Today, we’ve hosted over 100,000 games, have had over 1,000,000 player reservations, teamed up with over 400 sports facilities, and have partnered with organizations that I once only dreamed of collaborating with. None of this would have been possible without your support, as well as the countless hours our rockstar team puts in every day to make your experience better on the pitch.
However, this is just the start. As we enter a new era for Plei, we welcome a new brand and a fresh new look on the Plei App that we’ve all come to love. I’m so proud of our new logo — one that represents not just our growth, but our vision for the future of Plei. Starting today, I’m also excited to announce the launch of our new website: plei.com. Here, you can find out all about our organization as well as join games directly on the web.
Our mission remains the same: to build the largest soccer community in the world. We will accomplish this by committing to you, our community, to make your soccer experience exceptional. We will continue to expand Plei across the United States, as well as internationally, creating more opportunities for players everywhere to connect, play, and grow. You should also expect new and exciting corporate partnerships that will elevate your experience using Plei.
