Women’s soccer is booming. The 2023 Women’s World Cup drew 2 billion viewers, and last year, 90,000+ fans packed Camp Nou for the largest crowd ever at a women’s Champions League match. But the real growth is happening locally, where women are coming together to play, connect, and grow.
That’s why Plei is proud to partner with Girls Play Soccer, a community built by and for women who love the game.
Weekly Women’s Pickup Games
Starting this March, Plei and Girls Play Soccer are hosting women’s-only pickup games in South Florida. Every Monday and Wednesday, players can find and join games on the Plei app—creating a space for women of all skill levels to play and connect.

The Story Behind Girls Play Soccer
When Natalia Valentin moved to Miami, she hadn’t played soccer since she was 14. Inspired by an old photo, she posted on Instagram asking if friends wanted to play casually. The response was overwhelming, and what started as a small group grew into a WhatsApp community of nearly 300 players.
It became more than soccer—a supportive network where women share advice, opportunities, and plan events. “I want to give women the tools to learn and grow in a sport that perhaps intimidated them,” Natalia says.
Making Soccer More Accessible
Natalia was manually organizing every game—tracking sign-ups, collecting payments, and ensuring players showed up. Now, with Plei, the process is seamless. Players can sign up, pay, and show up—no hassle, no last-minute Zelle requests.
Natalia’s vision goes beyond pickup games. Her goal is to create a Girls Play Soccer field—a dedicated space for beginners’ clinics, tournaments, and events. “I want a safe space where women can enjoy the beautiful game,” she says.
